IODINE
www.myspace.com/iodine

Iodine was raised in the L.A. underground scene and the Baha’i youth workshop. He has a fluid mix between Outkast, Beastie Boys and the Clash. Iodine’s earliest influences were the mid 90s Hip Hop groups, Freestyle Fellowship and The Pharcyde and poets Rumi and Jon Lennon. After moving to NY his style went in a different direction. Spending time in NY hip hop clubs, and open mics, as well as absorbing the beginnings of the Indie Rock/Punk experience; Iodine formed a common ground by fusing both musical worlds. He believes all poets and MCs should represent the higher side of the human experience.
